Hello again.... This is in response to some of the suggestions I had for spellings from my other thread.

My intention was to find a feminine spelling for the girl's name Ryan. I would like to avoid people pronouncing it incorrectly like Ree-ann or like Rain.

Why would anyone pronounce it like Ree-ann or Rain? Ryan is Ryan, on a boy or a girl.

I voted Ryann, because the only girl I know with that name... that's how she spelled it.

The girl Ryan I know spells it Rhyan

This is in reference to the alternative spellings.

I would pronounce anything with an I as re. Riann to me looks like reann. Like rihanna.

My name is Ryann, and I can tell you right now if its spelled any other way than Ryan it will be pronounced incorrectly.

Then again I would suggest not giving a girl a boy's name but that's my opinion.

Ryan - spelled the same
Ryann --- looks like ri-ann
Rhyen --- wtf is that???
Rhiann --- rhi- ann (like rhianna)
Riann --- same as the 2nd option
Rianne --- ry-annie
Rian --- no
Ryanne --- i & y are the same thing.

Just use Ryan

My daughter's name is Ryan.

My family wanted a more girly spelling, but I didn't want people calling her Ry-Ann.

If I had to chose, Ryan.
But it's a boy's name, so i wouldn't give it to a girl. It means Little King.

Like Rianne is more like Rey-anne

Just my opinion but I'd spell it normally. My name is spelled Meghan instead of Megan and I get seriously tired of having it misspelled constantly or having to spell it out for every single person I come to.
