Question about spotting and late periods

So I am now 4 or 5 days late but today I started spotting. The weird thing is that it's brown blood and there isn't a lot. Usually once I start spotting with in the hour I get my full blasted af. My question is, is this normal? Also has this happened to you? If so what was your outcome?

It's too early to say really. Last month i got a weird period. I had some spotting/light bleeding and then it stopped completely for 2 days. I freaked and took a test which was negative. Then of course, af started and kept on going for about another 8 days or so, which is longer than normal for me.

That's really weird. I hope that doesn't happen to me

That's exactly what happened to me and i was pregnant

This gives me hope (: the only thing that leads me to think it's possible Is the fact that I'm pretty much late still, how tired I am, and how emotional I am.
