Have you ever had one at your event/party? What was your experience? What kind of candy was on it and what kind of containers did you use for the candy?

My friend gave out gum ball machines as the "goody bag" gift and had all sorts of round shaped candies. Skittles, m&m's, gumballs, sixlets, etc.

We already have the little favor bags for them to stuff with candy. So far we got suckers, mms, and Hershey kisses. I was also thinking about gumballs, covered pretzels, and maybe mini (bite size) assorted candy bars.

That's a cute idea. I'll have to keep those in mind for our next birthday party.

My friend did for her wedding. Their color was blue so she had every kind of blue candy in candy dishes. She used dishes with varying sizes and height and it looked great. She had every kind of candy.. blue chewy, gummy candy, blue m&ms, blue dove chocolates, etc. She's asian so she had little chinese food boxes at each place setting to take up to the table and fill with whatever you wanted. Very cute!

Have you checked out Pinterest? They have some super cute ideas for Candy Buffets on there.
We are having one at my shower! Can't wait. My SIL ordered some custom m&m's at mymm.com. They say: "It's a girl" and "Welcome Brooklyn" and I think some may have a pacifier on them. They turned out so cute!
My color scheme is white and grey chevron with light pink accents. We are doing the big marshmallows dipped in pink chocolate, Hershey kisses, pink taffy, cookies on a stick to look like lollipops, and some sucker bouquets, with the m&m's.

Yeah, they were a little pricy :/ ...
When are you having your shower? I'm due Jan 24th, but my doctor said I am measuring 3 weeks ahead of time, so I think we are going to have my shower the first weekend in December.
