People are crazy and just go through life looking to be offended. I am thoroughly convinced.

I say all the traditional happy Halloween, thanksgiving, Christmas, Valentine's day, etc.
I don't even celebrate I hate holidays and money grabs but I think its funny that it pisses off someone when I say it.

Hahaha maybe it makes me a bitch, but I think it's just hilarious when people get so offended by something simple.

I've worked enough retail to say "Happy Holidays."

People still get offended by that and say "It's Christmas! Merry Christmas!"

Nope nope. Safest to just say Happy Holidays and leave it at that, haha.

I say Merry Christmas and Happy Thanksgiving to people. I don't think I've ever said "Happy Holidays" to anyone.
I have said "Happy Hanukkah" to my Jewish freinds though.

I say Merry Christmas and Happy Thanksgiving. I don't usually wander around and say it to random people though. I've heard people working in stores/restaurants say all of them and I've never heard anyone get offended.

I say Merry Christmas and I'm Humanist (branch of Atheism), everyone here celebrates Christmas religious or not unless they are of a specific religion that celebrates something else or does not celebrate anything at all. As for Thanksgiving I wouldn't know whether or not that is considered rude to say as we don't have that here and I've only ever seen it on American shows so I couldn't really tell you what it even is lol If someone said Happy Holidays to me I'd just politely say "Holiday? No I'm not going away anywhere this Christmas." We guys say Holiday the same way you guys say vacation so if we were going away to Australia for a week we would say "I'm away on Holiday to Australia for a week in a few days." or if we were taking our statutory days off work we would say "I'm off from work on Holiday this week." So Happy Holidays wouldn't really make sense for us :/ but yes I don't think there is any need to be rude if you don't celebrate Christmas. I mean I work with a few Jehovah Witnesses and last year at Christmas I said to one of them by total accident "Have a great Christmas!", as it had just came out my mouth I suddenly realised what I had just said and was ready to apologise but he just laughed and said I don't celebrate Christmas but you have a nice Christmas with your family! There is no need to be rude when someone is trying to be nice.

i am an atheist and I say merry christmas. I don't really care. I don't get offended easily. We live in a world with many religions and ideas and its dumb to get mad when someone uses and expression from theirs.

I do. I'm not sure why anyone would be offended. I would not be offended if someone wished me a Happy Kwanza or Happy Hanuka.
