NYS do they drug test at ob appointments

i have been clean my whole pregnancy this is not about me its about one of my friends i told her that i think they drug test an ob appoinments but she continues to smoke mj. its her choice but do you know if the drug test at ob appointments or if the test the baby when its born in NYS.

If they suspect it, they will test both mother and baby

I would always assume that they test.

i'm ASSUMING that they'd see traces of drugs pop up as well, no?

I believe they test everyone regardless of your appearance or tattoos. It's standard procedure. Looks can be deceiving and a lot of people try to hide their drug addictions.

No those just test for protien and sugar

i dont know about there but here at the ob office no they dont but that pric in your babys foot when there first born is also for a drug test and they test the mom when they put and iv in her as soon as she gets to the hospital and take blood

Yes, they do random drug test in NYS. She better stop.

My ob made me sign a sheet for random drug test.
