Ive heard really bad things about depo & women not being able to get pregnant after but I dont know if it matters how long you were on it... Id assume the less time the better... I wish my doctor would have told me that it could cause infertility but he didnt... thankfully with me it only caused irregular ovulation... so it took time but i was able to get pregnant...

My personal story - In high school, I only used condoms with my now DH. (We were HS sweethearts) When I graduated and became 18, I decided I wanted to look into another form of BC, so we could prevent pregnancy better. I decided to do Depo. When I did, I had a horrible reaction to it. I had my period for 1 1/2 months (no joke, I was almost hospitalized) so I decided that was a horrible idea. I did NOT get my next shot, instead I asked to be switched to the pill. I took the pill for a year, and decided to switch back to condoms because I was missing pills here and there. I didn't have my period for a whole year and was so confused. I thought so many times that I was pregnant. I told the doctor, and she told me the only way to fix it was to go back on BC pills. So, I stupidly believed her. I kept on BC pills until my wedding. I stopped them after my DH and I got married. 5 months after, I ended up pregnant that ended in a m/c @ 12 weeks and D&C. After that, I got back on BC pills for another 4 months, until I read that BC pills and Depo is a primary issue with fertility. I decided to get off BC pills, and see if I could end up pregnant again (I was wanting to be pregnant again after my m/c). After I got off BC pills, I didn't have my period again like what happened last time for 2 years. I was depressed and thought I was barren. I started looking up information on what can "improve" fertility, and I finally stumbled across Fertilaid. I took it for a month, and ended up getting my period. I was so excited but couldn't afford the $25/mo for it at the time. After that, I had a lot more of stuff happening in my life, so we put off TTC, and I ended up not having my period for another 6 months. I wanted to TTC again, and I found out that Vitex Agnus Castus, or Chastetree Berry, is one of the main herbs that are used in herbal fertility treatments, so I decided to get JUST that. It doesn't work for everyone, but I figured I'd give it a shot. I used it for about a month, and it brought back my period again. I stopped taking it for another 2 months, and my period didn't come back. I went back on it again for 4 months straight, but stopped TTC and decided to work on my weight with a low carb diet, a multivitamin, vitex, and a few other minor things, and ended up pregnant! I am now 33 weeks pregnant. I believe about 90% of the reason I am pregnant now is because of Vitex. I would recommend it completely for anyone to at least try.
