You don't have to gain 80 pounds for it to take longer than three months.

I'm about 5-10 lbs away from my pre-baby weight at 2 months PP. I gained 40 lbs and lost 25 of it the first few weeks. But, I was breastfeeding and couldn't seem to find time to eat. I definitely expected it to take about 6 months. I'm back in my jeans but using a rubber band to button them. Lol. I'm too broke to buy new jeans! I think you can only blame it on baby weight for like a year, but everyone has different circumstances!

No 3 months is not reasonable at all( I'm sure a doctor would agree that 3 months is ridiculous! ). A lot of women still have swelling and don't even have a normal cycle yet by 3 months, their body is still trying to get back to "normal". It seemed like forever for my friends face swelling to go away, and she is little, and I remember her posting on FB at 7/8 months PP that she's FINALLY able to button her jeans and they not be so tight to where she can barely breathe. Not everyone puts on 80 lbs. Some put on a lot less and still can not button their jeans at 3 months PP. Every body's BODY is different. I am 4months PP and gained nearly 30 lbs in my pregnacy, and I still can't button my jeans and am still wearing my maternity shirts
