No I am the same pretty much. I have thought about not doing it anymore and honestly I admit I ate land animal for less then a month after I had my son because I was anemic and I hated the flavor and everything else. It weirded me out and don't worry, you aren't missing anything lol. It made me gain 10lbs in a month :[ Ick.

Its ok to have compassion. Even if you do enjoy it, at least you are killing less cute lil animals. One veg saves 95 lives a year due to supply and demand

I'm vegetarian, I don't feed my 3yo meat. I have his iron and b12 checked periodically to make sure he's not missing out on important nutrients.
I'm also a terrible veggie eater. My family eats a lot veggie Mexican foods..beans, rice, etc.
With all the crap that's in meat now a day I don't think meat is really beneficial for kids unless they're eating organic grass fed. I have the meat argument with my parents all the time. They think I'm depriving him of chicken nuggets and other junk.
And waiting to give kids a choice works the other way too. When my son is old enough to understand what he's really eating he can eat it if he wants to.
Just my opinion.

It wierds me out too. The last time I tried to eat meat was 2 years ago almost and I threw up as soon as I swallowed it. Thats a cool fact though! I always figured it didnt make a difference, that they were killing them anyway than it was just going to waste!

Nah, it makes a difference. Did you know, 3% of the population is now vegan even? I am not sure as to how many are veg but that is a high amount of vegans when you think about it!
You are doing good. I am hoping my son stays veg but when he gets older, if he wants to try meat I will not hold him back. You know? I just don't want him eating it as a child for some reason. I don't like cooking it... it freaks me out although my fiance is a vegan meat cutter at Whole Foods lol..We don't eat it because we just don't feel it's overly healthy and did you also know it is not an essential food anymore on the food pyramid? Mean it non-essential. If you decide to have your little one be a vegetarian or even a vegan it is healthy :]
It also helps em poop better. My son poops well. he has never been constipated ever. ha.

Yeah if I have her eat it its not like it will be an everyday thing. Probably just sometimes give her some chicken here and there. Idk, Ill figure it out when the time comes I guess! lol. Thats funny about your fiance though! For the first year of my job I worked in the deli cutting meat as well, I finally had enough and asked to be placed somewhere else lol. Something about shoving metal rods up chickens butts and putting them in the oven didnt please me lol

lol! That sounds both funny but sad XD
The weird thing is my faince LOVES his work. he gets relay into it and freaks if people waste the meat. He says "you have to be in the system to change it". Basically he wants to make sure the animals are eaten and cooked correctly and not wasted. Since people wont give up meat he wants to make sure people buy the right kind to. Whole Foods is crazy about their animal rights practices which I love. His department takes vacations once a year and goes out to the farms to help them so he also knows the ranchers personally. Whole foods. They are actually really awesome which is nice. NO factory farming at all.

They have crazy(awesome) standards:

he refuses to work anywhere else though of course ha
