Newborn has painful gas. Please help!

posted 3rd Nov
LO is 9 days 10 days old. She has very painful gas. She cries/ screams like she's in pain. I feel so bad. I Breastfeed, and bottle feed her breastmilk only. No formula. I don't drink milk. I did have a little tiny bit of eggnog today. But he has had painful gas for the past few days and I only had eggnog today. She constantly spitting up, and passing gas. And everytime she passes gas she starts crying more and harder. She dosnt sleep long anywhere. Not the swing, not the bouncer, not her crib or anything! The ONLY time she sleeps long is when she's laying on mine or DH's chest. I just want her to be comfortable and give DH peace of mind that I'll be okay for when he goes back to work. I'am still bleeding a lot! And when I Breastfeed I bleed more and get pale and feel like I'm going to passout. So I'm constantly exhausted. And then I'm scared to stand up and bounce and burp her cause I'm so dizzy and weak. DH helps a lot but he's going back to work next week. I need remedies so her and I can sleep.

Bleeding more after bfing is normal. It's helping your uterus contract and go back to normal. Burp her while sitting. Sit her sideways on your lap and support her chest and head with one hand while patting her back with the other. Keep her elevated for awhile after eating. Is she pooping? Try bicycling her legs as well.
