What exactly is a CRAWFISH?

I've never had one. Is it like a shrimp?
Or is it less meat than that? more?

Watching Extreme Makeover: Weight loss edition,
this woman ate 10 lbs of crawfish in one sitting.
would that be like eating 10 lbs of shrimp?

When i was growing up my sisters and I would go to the creek and spend HOURS catching them by hand. I have never ate one though.

10 lbs really isn't that much because you're not eat a lot when you eat one crawfish. I've eaten 2 lbs before and still been hungry.

By the way, crawfish are smurfing delicious. One of my favorite foods.

yeah they measured it and there were 4 lbs of shells so she had eaten 6 lbs of meat.

They're crustaceans. Like small lobsters.

Hmm... that's a lot of meat. LOL. Maybe I've been eating puny crawfish.

Only the best thing ever.
They are really easily digested, it's easy to eat quite a few lbs in one sitting. You only eat the tail, sometimes a little claw meat and then you suck the juice/brains out of the head.

How do you eat them?!

We went to a chinese place & they had them...wetried them..they were wayy too fishy for my liking..but I'm sure if they were cooked differently they wouldn't have been as fishy. I couldn't figure out how to eat it though lol
