It works, expressing colostrum onyour nips and letting air dry will help promote healing too

They gave me some at the hospital too. I like it pretty good.

My lactation consultant gave me a bag of breastfeeding goodies and the Lansinoh brand lanolin was in it. It's much thicker than the Medela brand.

For occasional sore nipples, I use hot tea bags. My son is 6 wks and apparently having a major growth spurt and has been on the boob constantly lately so I'm just a little sore

They gave me a tube of it at the hospital, still use it now almost 2 months later. It works really well, especially during the growth spurts lol

I can't remember if mine were tender in the beginning or not but I love breastfeeding too.
I'm not tryna scare ya or anything but it has been rough during this growth spurt but I'm hanging on. I have to keep telling myself that it'll be over soon.

Good luck and keep it up!

Before or after, it doesn't hurt baby. I usually put it on right after she's nursed (or if I've just pumped)

Yeah. I mean it isn't unbearable (well for me, everyone is different). But you'll get through it. You have plenty of time to even think about that and hey you may never even get sore.
But if so, there's plenty of home remedies out there to help ease the discomfort.

I lived on that stuff for the first month or so. Def helps with sore nips. I would apply it after every feeding. The first 6 weeks are tough & painful but after that it gets so much easier. Good luck & don't give up, I swear it gets easier.

The 3rd is a good day to be born! (It's my birthday)

Anywho, yes that cream is a godsend, I still use it 6 weeks later. Also expressing some colostrum/milk on your nipples and letting it air dry helps too.

Congrats on the new baby!

I personally prefer Lansinoh products. Medela is good but I didn't have any luck with it, Lansinoh was much better.
