induction or be a big girl & wait it out?

My doc said that he doesn't induce his patients until 39 week if there aren't any issues with the pregnancy. Since I am technically in my 38th week (37 weeks + 1 day), I was just curious on if my doc would induce me next week or should i just wait it out. I have some plans made Thanksgiving week and being this prego makes me feel like i can't do anything and i don't want to spend my holiday stuck in a hospital.
Apparently most of you women dont understand!! A simple just wait it out or get induced would suffice.

Just wait it out, doctors can be off on the dates, and it would be better to make sure you're daughter is healthy then possibly risk her being born just before she was meant to.

You should let your baby bake at least until her due date. That's what's best for HER.

i got induced so my brother could with me but i was past due i say wait it out i had a horrible experience but some people love being induced it just depends on you

There's plenty of future holidays to celebrate if by any chance you end up in the hospital for thanksgiving.
