Second pregnancy dropping/labor question

posted 3rd Nov
How long after baby dropped and engaged with your SECOND child did you go into labor? I have read that with your second baby usually doesn't drop or engage until close to labor. This never happened with my first I was induced at 37 weeks because I had been leaking fluid since I was 35 weeks and 2 days. I am currently 36 weeks and 1 day with this pregnancy and I am high risk because of the complications with my first child and more issues with this pregnancy. I have weekly NST's and ultrasounds to check fluid levels and have a growth ultrasound in a little under a week and a half.
I know that because she is engaged I will need to use the bathroom more but last night while trying to fall asleep I went to the bathroom at least 5 times in an hour and am not sure that I always went pee. I thought sometimes it smelled sweet but it could have also just been my lotion that I was smelling. Baby dropped in Tuesday I was dialated to 1Cm on Thursday and baby was engaged on Thursday also my belly looked smaller which I know is normal but now today it looks even smaller and she is still in her normal spot. I have also noticed she isn't moving as much as normal. Yesterday I got flu like symptoms and was extrememly tired and then out of no where felt fine and wide awake again then back to feeling icky and back to feeling fine. I have had loose frequent stool's the last few days, irreglar contractions, pelvic and hip pain and pressure, and a backache for the last week the backache has been there for a couple weeks now, she also seems to not be moving as much as normal today. I know that if she does come early she is fine and will most likely be coming right home with me from the hospital because she looks great and is most likely around 6 lbs or more now. That does not mean I want her to come early!
So for second time moms how long before labor did baby drop and engage?

With DS1 he dropped 2 weeks before I delivered and I was 2cm dilated for those 2 weeks, my water broke 6 days before my due date but his head sealed it back up and I wasn't contracting so I had to be given pitocin and they had to break my water again and he was born 5 days before his due date after 29 hours in labor. With Baby2 (who was adopted) dropped almost a month before her due date and they actually had to stop my labor, then at 37 weeks and 2 days I went into labor again and spent 26 hours in labor and she was born at 37 weeks and 3 days. I am currently 35 weeks and 3 days and DS2 has already dropped and engaged and I am already dilated to 1cm and my Dr. doesn't think I will make it passed 38 weeks, so we will see.

I don't think I will make it passed 38 weeks with this pregnancy either. I can barely walk she is so low she feels like she is just going to fall out. That and I just have that feeling like I am going to be going into labor soon.

I definitely understand that feeling lol Dr. said he can't drop any lower and every time he moves it feels like he's gonna drop on the floor haha.

My second and third babies always sat very low close to the end so there was no way to tell if they truly dropped however neither of them engaged till labor started.

My first son the doctor said that I had dropped almost 3 months before I went into labor. I am pregnant again now and I dropped over night and I am only 28 weeks pregnant. I think it depends on your body and the way your hips and everything are placed.
