Toddler beds.

posted 3rd Nov
My son is a climber. He will climb out of his crib so fast it's not even funny. Lol. He is 19 months old & I wanna get him a toddler bed so I don't have to worry about any falls or accidents. What kind of things should I look for when purchasing a toddler bed? I want to get the best one I can find - that will last & be a good stable bed. Any recommendations? Preferably something with cherry wood finish. Lol. But I gotta make sure I have the best for my little man.

Toddler beds are a waste of money. He will outgrow it within a year or two. Just get a twin bed.

This! My daughter never had a toddler bed. They have rails for regular beds do they don't fall out. My daughter did fine with it but some kids need it.

I was thinking of getting one of those convertible cribs that switch from a toddler bed, to a day bed, to a full size bed. I can't make up my mind.

I spent $1400 on 2 stage beds and $800 on 4 pillow top mattresses to go with it. I was kinda disappointed when I had to buy DD a toddler bed. DS is a few months shy of 3 and still falls off his bed. DD is 15 months, so I cant chance her falling out just yet, so we settled for a toddler bed.

Just look for one with a rail on the side, but they all meet safety requirements unless recalled for some reason.

We have one of those. My son's crib is converted into a full sized bed now. I just had to go out and buy a bed frame and of course a mattress.

Yeah those kind of cribs seem like your saving money since they convert to what you need. & the one I was looking at is $130. A regular toddler daybed (well, the one a was looking at, it's a modernized one) is like $100. I want a sleigh style cherry wood bed for him.

This is my girls bed. The bottom one belongs to DD (15 months). It rolls out, but a rail wont fit on that one side and still allow me to push it in during the day so they have room to play.

That is cute! It kinds had a trundle bed in other words but its a regular bed. A lot of day beds have trundle beds that roll out but that one is just pretty!

I really like that. The one i'm looking at comes with bed rails. I wanted some different opinions cause my mother thinks I should just buy him a toddler bed. Lol, but I really think the convertible cribs are the way to go. It may be more expensive now but will save me money later cause I won't have to buy him a full size bed once he grows out of the toddler bed stage.
