Period??

God I feel like a dipsmurf asking this hahaha.

But I'm 5 weeks PP and I stopped bleeding like a week and a half ago. Maybe longer. I started bleeding again today and the blood is like super dark. Like dark brown/dark red. I can't tell if it's still just bleeding from the birth or my period.

I had a little cramping earlier but nothing like my period cramps used to be.

After I had my first son my period cramps almost completely went away (they used to be so bad I had to call into work and couldn't get out of the fetal position for the first day I was on my period every single month), so I wouldn't judge it off that. I bled for about 3 weeks after I had my son, but I didn't have a period for a little while because I was breastfeeding. My mom always had a period 4-6 weeks PP though, so that may be what it is.

It's definitely my period.   Grrr. Did NOT miss this one bit. Just to clarify, I can't wear a tampon, correct?

I was 6weeks pp Thursday and started my period on Tuesday. It is the worst period of my life   . I have been wearing tampons, I had my pp checkup a week and a half ago and was told everything was fine and I could go back to inserting things into my vagina.

Ugh I feel you.. It's horrible!!! No cramps like at all but damn I am definitely making up for the past 9 months of no period. Sorry, tmi. But my pp check up is Tuesday so I guess I should wait until I get the ok from him, huh?

Did you get any birth control at your 6 week check up? I'm afraid if i'm on my period that he wont see me or want to put in the mirena.

I was given the pill but had the choice of whatever BC I wanted. I am sure they see plenty of PP females who are on their period since 6 weeks seems a pretty common time for periods to return.

They'll probably reschedule your appointment. They like to do a pap at your 6 week pp appointment if you aren't bleeding. Yes we discussed bc at the appointment too.
