Unemployment rate worsens - 7.9%

posted 2nd Nov
That tidbit is for any of you that may still be undecided about getting off of the sofa on Tuesday and voting.

The "real" unemployment rate is dramatically worse as as so many people have stopped looking for work and those how have found jobs are often working for much less pay than previously.

Yep. Also, we cannot forget about the people who have lost benefits and are still unemployed.

That number is ALOT lower than where I live! Where I live unemployment is still in the 9s, and that doesn't include the people who've been unemployed longer than the time frame lasts them to draw, and who still can't find jobs, and have given up on finding one. We also have a BIG percentage of people who'd rather sit on their ass & rely on the government to take care of them.

I hope he wins. smh. I just really hope he doesn't touch any social issues, like women's health care like abortions and etc. I don't mind taking sacrifices that will benefit this country... like giving up PBS. lol

How does that affect the unemployment rate if those people are already unemployed?   I'm missing something here.

While I agree that social issues are quite important, I can't allow myself to vote on those issues alone.

I'm really tired of seeing these stupid abortion ads, like hello, those ARE NOT the only issues here

Personally, for my family, me being able to go see my sick girlfriend in the hospital
isn't as important as me being able to put food in my kids bellies and clothes on their backs. But I can understand it being important to many.
