Is there someone you know that has a camera and just wants to try it out. I did it for a friend, I have a nikon d 5100 and wanted to take pictures, had a friend PM me when she had her daughter. She bought all the props and outfits, I just took pictures. They weren't as amazing as some of the professional ones, but they were clear and a lot of them came out nice.
I didn't get any of him in yhe hospital. I'm thinking newborn too. Since ill have a csection someone in my room might be odd. I didn't do newborns with my son. Couldn't afford it. But fond some people that are decent priced and good work. Ill get the pics on a DVD to print.

I think it's like 50-70 for newborn with props from this gal. I just wanted pics of ,my son meeting baby for the 1st time. I have a pocket camera lol. My mom has a rebel so maybe I could just get pics with that and they will be better then my pocket or a cel phone.
the hospital ones don't always suck....we got hospital ones done (the hospital took them) and took like 5 pictures or something and made them into a book with qutoes and it was only 60 bucks. Here is one of the photos

I'll give the hospital a try with the person who takes the photos. I was just going to pay someone to take them for us at the hospital. you know an outsider lol. But the more everyone says do at home newborn ones I think I'll stick with that..
My husband was a smoker (cigs) I had a csection and breastfeeding wasnt going the BEST at the hospital and those pics were awful I had no help he was outside smoking. I was in pain...It wasnt a good time and we had asked the lady to come over to our room a million times and we were about to leave anyways...crappy haha
