So bummed.

My daughter had tonsillitis a few weeks ago. It was so bad that her pediatrition told us to go straight to the ER since she was severely dehydrated and such. I was also sick with the stomach flu. I was about 21 weeks pregnant puking in a trashcan and also on the toilet not able to leave it. I wasn't able to take DD to the ER without throwing up or pooping my pants (sorry TMI). We don't have any family or friends that would have been able to help me out that day. So DH told his branch manager that he needed to leave for a few hours to take care of DD. He was excused for a few hours. He came back to work two hours later and the general manager put him on probation for leaving work. He's out of vacation days and his GM wouldn't let him use one of his own sick days for his daughter (totally understandable). Since he's on probation, he doesn't get his Christmas bonus in December. It would have been nice to get that bonus since DD's 2nd birthday is December 16th, Christmas is right after that, then to buy everything we need to prepare for our sons arrival in February. We have everything we need for her birthday, and Christmas for her so I guess I should be happy but my hormones are making me sad.   Sorry for the pity party I'm throwing myself.

They didn't even tell him that if he left that that would happen?

Nope. The branch manager said it was okay. Then the general manager didn't approve it.

Yeah the bonus would have been a nice cushion for us. We were really looking forward to it. Urgh.

There's not much we can do about it now. It was just really disappointing news this morning. I'm just super bummed about it.
