vicodin and headaches

I'm on vicodin (when I can) because I just had knee surgery. I was on percocet but it wasn't doing the job. I started getting headaches the day I started the vicodin. 1. Is this normal with vicodin? And 2. Can I take advil or ibprofin while on vicodin?

Headaches are normal with any narcotic. You can take advil while taking it though. Just don't take any added tylenol.

yes.... I would not it is not advised to...I would call ur dr and see what they can do.

1. It's normal. Hydrocodone is in Vicodin and some people don't tolerate it as well. It's a semi-synthetic opium derived. Percocets is oxycodone which is opiate based.
2.It should be mixed with acetomeniphen (spelling?) What is the dosage?
