rundown of my docs appointment..im pretty angry about this

So went to my docs Wednesday to figure out what was going on with my body...I was at that point 21 days late for af, had a faint bfp etc, they thought it might be scaring of my uterus.so I get there, got a pelvic exam done coupled with my pap...ya da dee dah, well then she asks...your on birth control right? It's about time for your depo again...I said....noooo I'm not on the depo...she asked...are you sure? Because they almost always give it at the hospital after d and c...well turns out they did! I was never ever asked nor informed about this..ever. she tried to play it off like..oh well a lot of times they ask while your still groggy from anesthesia..no mam..lol they did not...I know this because they let my husband come back and stay with me because he didn't get to see me before hand and was scared...I mean last thing he heard was"hey hun..um I'm hemorrhaging I've lost 4l of blood , they are going to give me blood transfusions and emergency surgery..and possibly a hysterectomy.oh and btw they said I am in stage 3 shock" so anyways yeah he was back there he confirmed they never ever asked...that day I was so worried because my arm heart I was scared I was having a heart attack or something. Anyways I'm kind of pissed about it. Here this whole time I have been expiriencing so many weird symptoms and bloating and stuff just to find out that no I'm def. Not pregnant, some surgeon just decided to take it upon himself to give me something I wouldn't have agreed to if he'd ask....now I will say...of they would have asked and told me hey...it is dangerous to get preggo right away can we give ypu bc..I probably would have gotten on some type..but def. Not the depo...ly body...obviously takes the depo very hard...

Anyways have yall ever had this happen...?? To me its just bullsmurf! Excuse my language

My sister just had a D&C and she never received the depo shot. It also isn't dangerous to get pregnant right after a D&C a lot of people are pregnant within weeks after. They don't like it but nothing wrong with it.

Sorry to hear you got something that your body doesn't like. I did Depo at one point in time and my body reacted so bad with it.

I'd be talking to a lawyer. Giving Depo after a D&C is NOT standard procedure and not OK. I would be LIVID!

I'm not one to sue over every possible thing but i'd be talking to a lawyer. They had no right to put you on the depo shot without asking.

I'm glad I havent gained 30 lbs in the matter of a month and a half like last time..but this is just ridiculous...it really really is..AMD what doesn't make sense is that its a catholic hospital that I went to ...I thought the catholic religion didn't like birth control..or is that just the name and they don't go by that type of thing anymore?

Oh I'm livid!!! This is not the first thing this hospital has done either...the reason I hemorrhaged is because they let me bleed for 7 friggin weeks and wouldn't do an ultrasound of which o requested 3 WEEKS IN A ROW!!! and because there was still retained product and I had an infection, this caused that...they could have taken my fertility away from me from this mistake, or worse my life! If I hadn't have been at the clinic when it happened I would not have made it...the closest hospital to my house at the time was almost 30 mins away...I was in stage 3 shock by that point

I guess it could be different for different churches but I was raised Catholic and it is a sin to take birth control because you shouldn't try and interfere with God's plan, which is why most Catholic's if they are going to do birth control will do something like the shot vs the pill, because the pill is a sin everyday where the shot is a sin every 3 months.

I'm not catholic, but what if I were...?? They didn't even ask til way after the surgery...they would have caused a huge distress of I were catholic...its just bullcrap

I'm not sure how I would go about suing..the clinic and the hospital were different because of the blood loss I was having they took me to the closest one which was st.Vincent...the clinic I am not sure I can even begin to sue because its uams..its a teaching hospital and in pretty sure my first visit there I signed a waiver stating that I waived my right to sue because of its university status

I'm Catholic but I have taken birth control but I was also having pre marital sex which I think they frown upon more.
