urine test

posted 2nd Nov
I had my 4 year old tested for celiacs since I was recently diagnosed. His Dr office just called. They said while the celiacs test came back negative, something else showed up in his blood work. They now want me to come in the office next week and they want him to have a urine test as well. Any ideas as to what could be going on?

That's what I was thinking too. The only reason I even thought to have him tested for celiacs is because his stomach always hurts him when he eats. And then he runs to use the bathroom all the time when eating. With my nephews they use the bathroom as an excuse....but he actually has to go. That is identical to my issues with gluten. So to hear its not celiacs but is something else, kind of stunned me. I was just like wtf??? And they of course won't tell me on the phone because its "to complicated" Ughhh

I hope not too!!! It feels like day sa vu, or however you spell it, with all the tests they ran on me. I dont want him going through that. Definitely not. It was a lot to deal with as an adult, I can't imagine it as a 4 year old. And i swear to you not, if they bring up that nasty ass c a n _ _ _ word I will flip out. I think at this point I can deal with anything except, that word :/

Diabetes or the only other thing that would pop into my head would be too high calcium in his urine, but that is due to what DD is going through. It's not common.

When is his appt? My thoughts are with you. I hope it isn't anything too serious.

You were right with the guess of to high calcium!! Lol. Mysteriously enough his calcium/vitamin d levels are high! Smh. So I have to switch some of his milk to water!

They did the blood test already. They wanted me to come in because they thought something was wrong with his kidneys, but after reviewing the whole test they saw it was his calcium levels
