HSG pain...

Hey all!
I finally had my much anticipated HSG today. While I'm happy with the results, the experience was not what I expected. I went back and changed, signed my consent form and got started. Everything was ready, balloon in, and they called in the person that takes the pictures. They started to inject the dye- more pain than I expected but I have a high tolerance and was able to breath through it. As they started injecting the dye into my left tube, the balloon fell out. The woman looked over the pictures and decided she wasn't certain enough that what they had was going to he conclusive, that I may have to do it again. I said screw that, do it now and let's be done! So they removed everything, set up again, and starte over. The second time around it was a bit more painful. After everything was removed though, it wasn't too bad. There was quite a bit of blood, but that didn't surprise me. It wasn't until a few hours after I got home that the pain started. I'm cramping so horribly and it hurts even to breath. Am I being a big baby, or could the pain be like this because they did the procedure twice? Has that happened to anyone else? I'm sure it's nothing that I can't handle and I'm glad that everything looked normal, but I'm just wondering about others' experiences

I would call your after hours service ASAP and then have your doctor meet you at the ER.
