C-section Incision

I had a c-section 16 days ago & a little part of my scar is bleeding & has some puss coming out. Has anybody else scar ever done this & did you get put on an antibiotic or what did they do?

Yes I had an infection which eventually required a incision scrapping. If you see puss and blood you need it to be looked at be cause the infection can attach to the uterine scar itself and cause more issues.

I have a doctors appointment in the morning so having them look at it then.

what is exactly the incision scrapping?

ooh this scares me...i thought it couldnt get infected once it fully healed....I hope it gets better!

They had to send me to the hospital and they reopened the incision and removed all of the infected areas...then I had to remain open (yes open) for three days while they continue to wash, rinse, and repeat until the tissue was healing right. It was the most painful thing I have ever experienced.

omg how scary & now has me worrying even more. My husband looked at it & said it doesn't look like it fully opened but he can see it's bleeding. It's not gushing out blood but it still has me freaked out.

Mine was BAD as in very red, bleeding bad and the puss turned a rather unappealing color of yellow and green..also I was so numb from the nerve damage I didnt even know how bad it really was since it was not as painful ans it should have been...so as long as it looks still closed it should be fine and easily cared for with antibiotic gel or pills.
