Do you think babies can 'see' spirits?

Not really a d&d but I didn't know where else to put it.

I'v never really been a 'believer' in anything. But 2 years ago in the space of 4 months I lost 2 family friends I've know my whole life and had a lot to do with. Both to cancer and each was my parents best friend from childhood so they were both very involved in my life, I found it hard to cope with especially losing them both in such a short time. I was pregnant with my second child when Nicole passed (on my sons 4th birthday  ) and Isla was 2 months old when josh passed.
Anyway!
My new baby often focuses at nothing and smiles and coos away at the wall, ceiling etc. Isla did this too.
maybe I'm just looking too much into it but i miss them both so much and am still grieving, I'd like to think that they're still with me.  
It's just a thought I had... What do you think?
Is this part of the grieving process, believing your loved one is still around? I don't feel like I'm close to closure, if that's even the right word. I still go through all the emotions, anger sadness confusion and joy from the memories we had. It doesn't feel like its getting any easier, if anything it feels like its getting harder

My daughters grandparents passed away in a car accident when she was 6 months old, and after that happened she would do things like that all of the time. I'm not sure what I believe with that, but it definitely used to make me wonder.

I'm very sorry for your losses. I do believe that babies and young children have a sixth sense to see things that most adults cannot. I have no proof of this, but it makes sense to me. As times goes on and our minds are exposed to more material and pollution (for lack of a better word), I believe that we lose our sixth sense.

I totally believe that kids can see spirits but I don't believe that what you're describing is that 'seeing' I think all kids just do that.

I think they can. I was fortunate to have "talked" and "seen" my FIL after he passed. And some of the images he was "showing" me were of my daughters (3 and 1 at the time) but of them at younger dates (he passed before the youngest was born) smiling or babbling away at a corner or a stuffed animal, and he was always right there talking to them. Idk if it comforts you, but yes I believe in those things. I wasn't much of a believer until that experience. Is it close to their anniversary of passing? I'm sorry for your loss but yes I believe they are watching us from wherever they are and they're always near.

One of my brother in law's 7 years old.. When he was 5 he used to claim seeing his father who is passed away at night time sitting on a chair in his room. He had been caught talking away to nobody and he said it was his dad.. I definitely believe it..!!

I always thought that children (infants included) and animals can sense or even see spirits and angels more easily than most.

Yes! I believe children are very suspectable sp? to seeing them.
