AP Racism Poll

posted 1st Nov
There is a lot of stink being made about this poll in the media. However, most people have not read the actual survey, the demographics of those polled, or the actual results of the survey. I decided to look it up (it was not easy to find) and read it for myself. I was quite surprised at the questions. I was even more surprised about how they used these questions to diagnose implicit racism. After reading the poll, do you believe that the results are skewed? Do you find it strange that even though there were respondents from other races that their responses were not analyzed and released to the press?

I very highly suggest you take the time to read at least part of this survey before coming to any conclusions.

I don't see what the big deal is, after reading the survey.

Could you elaborate? "Big deal" could mean 100 different things, depending on who I'm talking to

I didn't see anything too shocking, unless I'm missing something major. "Some people are a little racist" is the very most I would conclude from that.

So, you'd agree that the media is putting an inaccurate spin on the results?

Yeah, I think it's really being sensationalized.
