Like most women have been saying if youre unsure its something youll have to decide once labour comes. But you should also be prepared for each situation. I went in with full intentions on getting the epi, a natural labour never even crossed my mind. I thought women who chose to go natural were nuts LOL! Long story short they tried 3 times, epidural didnt work, and for me probably never will. Within a short period of time I went from getting an epi to having to go through natural labour. I managed to get to 8cm with 100% back labour than asked for a csection. I absolutely could not handle it any longer. BUT if I had been prepared and educated myself on a natural labour and techniques to help ease pain I think I could have made it those extra 2cm! Educate yourself on EVERY situation. You NEVER know what will happen. I wish I had! With my next I will be prepared for everything to avoid surgery.

I personally cant stand pain, but in the time of labor it was a breeze for me I was in labor for 72 hours. I asked for medicine to ease the pain and it helped me, because I just fell asleep. I had back labor so my family was massaging my back the entire time. I say you can go on as far as you can and see if you can take the pain or not, just dont focus on yhe pain focus on your baby. There are also other medications they van give you to help you.
