NO badmouthing ANYONE in here for anything to do with smoking while pregnant (if they are here they are trying to quit), nor for slipping off the smoking wagon.

I quit and can give advice and support to those who need a little help quitting!

I quit the whole time I was pregnant and started back up. STUPID STUPID STUPID

I quit. I was a pack a day smoker and when that test came back positive I finished off the rest of the pack and wouldnt allow myself to buy another.
In the beginning I was a bitchhhh. The biggest things that helped me quit were that my BD quit too. He said since I cant its not fair for him to. Also, since I always bought a pack when I got gas, he offered to pump gas for me for the first week or so. And I was an avid in the car smoker- so I stocked up on those ECLIPSE gum big packs and chewed like a mad woman lol.

i stopped the second i found out; and it was sooo hard at frist; still now almost 17 weeks later i crave one   i will come here now instead of hiding in my room til the craving goes away  

I quit all the time  
I guess having five family members with lung cancer is good motivation though.

i quit when i found out i was pregnant. anyone can do it.. it takes will power and true, heartfilled concern for your baby. Caden was what mean the most to me.. more than smoking which i quit for.. along with drinking, drugs, and cutting. personally i think its sad that people cant quit smoking ciggs cold turkey. if you REALLY want to, you can. And if you cant.. its because you dont REALLY want to.. and thats sad because your growing child is more important. I know you didnt want anyone on here putting you down.. but its gotta be said even if you've heard it before. im done on here now, so im not going to bug you smokers anymore.. i just wanted to give my imput. way to make me want a cigg. 

i guess im one of the few who hasn't offically quit all the way. I dont even smoke a whole cigeratte, just two puffs off james's and im good. I think its a mental thing. Every day i tell myself that im not even going to ask a for drag, but most days i do.
I know 2 puffs a day isnt the worst thing i could be doing, i just wish i could totally quit for my child. it makes me feel so horrible/awful and everything else in between

It sucks....but you are doing GREAT for being four weeks post partum and still free!!

thanks..I know if I start up my husband will kill me..and I kind of like being able to breathe again.
