I smoked two packs a day..i quit about 3 months preg and i just know started to want them again..even though i hate hate the smell and the way my breathe stinks after!!! My son is 6 monthsso i have done good sofar :]I sure dont want my baby to ever smell it on me!!!!!

Boys are in school...Gianna is a pill....aaaannndddd Joey is still medically effed...but no worse than before and at least he has had his surgery...should be fewer problems on the shoulder dislocation front.

I quit smoking on Sept 2, 2008 and I have not had one single cigarette since then, it was one of the hardest things I have ever had to do and there is no way I want to go through that again, especially doing it cold turkey. hello ladies i decided to try again !!!!! i have 2 smokes left and then i am never ever buying a pack again i need to quit i want to be smoke free before she is a year old its so hard i get crazy nic attacks and my chest hurts tell me im not alone ?

this thing is great! im 10 weeks, and i have not been smoking for 4. its soo hard, but everytime i smoke i feel worse/ guilty. i know im doing the right thing, and this is defenitely gonna help me.

Ok.
I know i started this damn thread.
But....I fell off the wagon and am still a smoker.
BUT...i just got a scrip for chantix....and will be letting you know how that works.

I quit smoking cold turkey sept 2, 2008 and I used this website for the first 4 months (because that was the hardest most depressing part of quitting then by the time 4 months had hit I was pregnant, then I just slept for 3 months lol) it was really helpful http://www.quitnet.com

Hi everyone! I'm currently using the patch (recommended by my OB) and haven't smoked in almost three weeks. I know I got a late start this time and should have quit months ago but it was really really hard this time! So far the patch is working though. I was wondering if anyone else had a success story from the patch while prego?

It is shocking to me that your OB recommended the patch, since no one knows what synthetic forms of nicotine does to fetuses as far as I'm aware. I used the lozenge to quit and was advised strongly to stop cold turkey before organogenesis. I suppose your situation is different, since you had been smoking through that period in your baby's development.
My husband loves the patch and has had great success with it.
