Nikki and I set sept 30th.

I know it is far off but we both like to drink and since this is summer and with parties and barbeques....we just feel that we might be setting ourselves up to fail if we try to quit while things are like that.

SO....sept 30th is the official date we have both decided to stick too.

Because I know I'm just setting myself up for failure as well if I try now. Seeing as how this summer I'll turn 21, and am standing in a wedding and all that jazz!

I need a quit buddy too ha! I quit when I was 16 weeks it was so easy,but 4 weeks after I had her I needed a smoke so bad,so I gave in and had one erk,now I cant seem to quit maybe its because I dont have anything to worry about anymore,who knows.

My main motiviation now would be quitting before Gia really knows whats going on!  

I don't want her starting at 15 like I did.

I didn't start till i was in my early 20s.

BUT i do know exactly what you are saying....i don't want MY Gia to smoke NOR my boys or Nikole.

well...honestly...im still a smoker. And ashamed to say so. I can give my excuses which to me were valid at the time, but when it comes down to it...Im being selfish. I have set this Monday as my quit date for many reasons: big one is....im getting a lot of dental work done and could very well get dry socket, my b/f's father is coming out in july and would daily reem my ass if he knew, also...officially being in the 3rd trimester when all the major lung developement is taking place...really really pushes me. Im scared to try and fail, like I have many times throughout this pregnancy, but I have got to smurfing do this. For my child. For myself. So that I wont have a child that smells of cigarettes, a BFing baby getting my nicotine, or a young teen learning a bad habit from mom-just as i did.

for those of you who have quit or are working on it what are some good tips? i know i saw chewing gum like crazy...what else? and how long can i expect to be a cranky biatch?
