I do agree with this too. DH and I think that changing a child's body in any permanent way should be their choice when they get older. If they find that circumcision is a better option for them when they get older, then that's their choice. Otherwise its not happening. I find "its easier for me to clean" is a very very very selfish reason to do anything permanent to a child's body. Would you cut off your daughter's inner labia because its easier to keep clean? I highly doubt it. I just can't understand doing something that will risk major infection to the baby when they are so fragile in their first months just for the reason of "its easier to clean" when in reality, it takes 2 extra seconds. Religious reasons, yes I can see that. Is it that difficult to teach a boy to clean himself? You have to teach a girl to wipe from front to back to prevent infection! I think its major double standards in society...
