Money money money.

posted 31st Oct
So, being a teenager and not having all the money a older pregnant womanwoman would have, when should I start buying and start planning for things? I'm very early in my pregnancy still, but being a teenager, it'll take more time for me to get my smurf together for sure. I'm still in high school and baby will arrive in the beginning of summer.

As soon as you are out of your first trimester.

Have you even taken the test yet? I would slow down in your thinking and confirm you are pregnant talk to your parents and take it from there.

aw you found out you're pregnant!?

well do you or your boyfriend work?

i would start saving as much as you can, you don't necessarily have to buy anything right now, but have the money for it. buy stuff second hand if you can (but NOT a car seat) and maybe your family will throw you a baby shower as well.

Don't buy things. Save your money. Every nickel!

Don't get coffee or eat out. Put all of your money in one spot. After your baby shower get what items you will need for a newborn. And wait on other things.

Some people can go the first four months or so without a crib. Just using a bassinet.

You don't need an jumperoo or exasaucer until babe is bigger, so dont spend money on that yet...

Diapers are good to stock up on. And wipes.

You can try consignment sales, garage sales, and maybe Craig's list.. Just be sure you shop CL cautiously and with an adult. I would save up and wait to shop after you find out the sex of the baby.

Second trimester, to be safe. Also, you could get a part time job and have the money that "older pregnant women" have... Some women aren't as prepared as they'd like to be when they get pregnant regardless of age.

Not necessarily. Some babies are allergies to certain diapers. Of course you can return them but that's more hassle than I'd want to deal with, lol.

i've never stocked up on diapers. i didn't know how many or what he would like. we found pampers worked for us at first, but after a year old or so we switched to Up & Ups.

i stocked up a little for this baby because i am going to try to cloth diaper. but i probably won't start that until 3 months or so.

wipes, you don't know what you or bby will like, either. i liked huggies. i felt the pampers smelled like alcohol or something. yuck.

Well first and foremost i'm a teenager and I had my baby a couple days ago and it really doesn't matter whether you're an older pregnant woman or a teenager lol. Just saying. Age doesn't play a factor in having money or not lol.

But the best advice I can give you is seek help if you have any let your parents be there for you, friends etc you're going to need some support whether it's financial support or emotional. If you have a job you should be looking especially before you start showing it'll help A LOT! Save all the money you have if you have none you could start selling things but I would be looking for a job stay in school it's a BIG part of your life.

Are you joking? Your age affects your socio economical status, your level of education and ability to earn money that can only come from age and experience.

Age has everything to do with how much money you have the ability to earn.
