Do you let your toddler swear?

A girl on my Facebook posted a video of her toddler swearing and she was laughing at it thinking it was funny. She said she doesn't care if he swears cause they are just words. I was quite shocked. Do you let your toddler or kids swear?

No. We do not curse in our house. We expect our kids to speak the same way that we do - politely.

But my kids no its bad to cuss and if I skip they key me know I said a bad word and that it's not nice to talk like that

Hell NO!!!! It is not funny or appropriate. Yes both DH and I swear, him more than me but we try our hardest to never do it around our children. And if you do one of the kids or one of us will say "daddy/mommy that's a bad word you don't say that"

I would never think my child swearing is funny!

I wouldn't necessarily let him swear, but if he did I wouldn't applaud it.

I don't let her swear, but she says " Oh, smurf ".... I tried to teach her to say " Oh, shoot ". it works sometimes.

I drop the F bomb all the time. If my son EVER said it, his ass would be in trouble.

She won't think it's funny when he is in school and she's getting calls from the principal telling her, her child won't be allowed back unless he can control his mouth!

I don't swear. I believe in teaching my kids the power of words, and that 99% of the time, other words are more apt and better at expressing themselves. However, they ARE just words, so if my toddler does use them I'm not going to punish them. I'm going to explain why those words are not the best to be used.

I don't encourage it but if he says an explicit word I can only blame myself. I just tell him it's a bad word and let him know Mommy is a bad girl for saying it (in the past). I won't lie and say I don't laugh when all is said and done esp when he uses it in the right context  

Nope. Not sure why anyone would think its ok. This fb friend must be really immature or something. We don't cuss at all in my house.

Yes. Idc I feel the same way. I wouldn't post a video laughing about it because that's NOT treating them like normal words.
I swear like a sailor so I can't yell at my 2 yr old for thinking it's normal...
