Poor=bad. I am not a poor parent nor do I practice poor parenting. I do everything for my son you're possible supposed to do. He is extremely happy, smart, and well taken care of.
And YES I let him swear. I don't encourage it OR discourage it. They are just words, simple as that.

Well, I also think it's bad parenting to allow your child to say valgure words. It's your job as the parent to teach right or wrong. Does he say them in public?

Same here, in his designated swearing area. If someone thinks that's poor parenting, fine. I believe in my child's right to freely express himself and saying "naughty words" to himself isn't hurting anyone. It's not like he can avoid hearing them.

I don't think allowing your child to curse in his bedroom is bad. Letting your child just walk around saying whatever is terrible.

I swear , my children do not. Well my 18 year old does, and I still tell him to knock it off. I do not think its cute when parents let their children swear.

Why is "smurf!" wrong, but "crap" or "poop" or "doody" is okay? It's a really ridiculous and archaic taboo.

No he doesn't but that's his choice. If he did I wouldn't be embarrassed or ashamed. Like I said he's an extremely well taken care of, smart, EXTREMELY polite 2 yr old so a few swear words are not going to make me ashamed or a bad parent  
And really, nothing you or anyone else says will bother me. It did earlier, but doesn't now because I'm extremely proud of myself and my son and I am a better mom than most out there.

No way! I still don't say "smurf" in front of my mom and I'm an adult lol. I try not to curse in front of him but when I'm pissed it just slips out.

Yes it does lol..maybe not with yours. I was saying in general..my mother works for ths school system and holy hell..the stories I hear..about young kids swearing at the teachers and the parents do nothing about it.they think its funny or cute..

It doesn't? Lol tell that to the school district in my area, if a child swears at school, parents are notified and told if it happens repeatedly their child won't be allowed back.

It's not cute or funny to swear AT anyone but it's completely harmless when they drop something or trip and say "smurf" instead of "oops".
That would be the same as the kid being bad in any other way and the parents thinking it's cute. That's retarted and it's not right to use it as an example. Just like a kid shouldn't call anyone "dumb" or "stupid". If it's not said in a derogatory way then I have NO problem with it.

My mom teaches kindergrten through 5th grade and believe me kids do NOT get kicked out for swearing. They get kicked out for acting up or being violent. Whether they're doing that with swears or not...
