Possible feeding tube

My son was born at 35w 5d and weighed 5lbs 1oz 18 1/4in he was growing great for the first two months and at his two month check up weighed 8lbs 4oz and was 21 1/2inches but since then has slowed way down at his four month check up he was 9lbs 10oz and 22 1/2 and now at his 6 months check up hes 10lbs 11oz and 23 1/2in they are talking about puting him on a feeding tube to help his stomach grow because he doesnt eat enough. I was just wondering if any of you mommas had gone through this and could tell me anythin about it?

It's not that he isn't gaining....my son was not on a feeding tube but wouldn't gain more than a couple ounces every couple weeks and then lost a pound in a month and they didn't freak out with a feeding tube....but he was not a preemie either....

My DD was born @ 32 weeks 3 days and was great except for feeding problems she aspirated and could not feed for weeks. They were talking about putting a feeding tube in if she couldn't start eating. She had a repeat swallow eval today and it showed no aspirations! Will the baby eat any foods?

He eats but wont take more then 2-3oz no baby food he wont take it... He's very small for being a late premie. He's only gained 2/1/2 lbs in 4 months and grown not even two inches. I have plenty of milk to give him but he just wont take it.

how often does your lo eat the 2-3 ounces?
