It's because you want to see the clothes and not the person. The clothes are literally supposed to hang like they would on a hangar. You don't want a thicker person who would draw your eyes away from the clothes.

They're just an artistic representation of the Disney princesses. I don't think it is a proposition to change them to fatties. They have steam punk princesses and fierce princesses and lesbian princesses.

I just love the message. You don't have to change to find love or be loved and changing into that beautiful archetype isn't the key to happiness.

I totally agree with this. Just because I like Elton John doesn't mean I'm going to want to become a gay man. Just because people like Pavarotti, that doesn't mean they are going to want to emulate his body size.

The notion that fat people or the images of fat people need to be hidden because people will aspire to be that fat person is ridiculous. It isn't what popular culture ascribes to... as a culture we (as a group) aspire to attain unrealistic Photoshopped bodies that the models themselves don't even have.

I would totally love a plus-size Disney princess where the theme of the movie wasn't about her weight.

They could model her after Hilda!
