Mother in law driving me insane!!! Vent

She got pissed off because she found out other people knew before her that I was pregnant. Well I tried to resolve it. Even told her that I was sorry for hurting her feelings but did that fix things? NO. well she always makes her grandkids halloween baskets but instead of bringing my kids over she sent my BF's brother with them but she went over to my BF's sister in laws & took her kids their smurf, then took pictures and posted them on facebook. Her & my sister in law both knew I was taking.my kids to a trick or trunk in my home town. Well they all went together & didnt invite us or even speak to us while they were there. I know this sounds petty but her & my bf's sister in law do this on purpose just to hurt me. I thought my BF's sis in law was nuts because she has been saying that she is like this for the past few years but now I totally see how she felt. (the tables were turned a few months back)

I never did anything to intentionally hurt his SIL but I bet she thinks that I did. I feel like smurf for being a part of these games. sorry for the vent I know this sounds so stupid. Please dont quote

Honestly ignore it. We have difficult/dramatic family members on both myself and DH families and we find the best way to deal with it is to not. Dont go and talk to other family members/friends about it, dont even acknowledge that it happened. That way they feel stupid like they went out of their way to hurt you and you didnt even notice. Its been about 2 years now and the people in our family generally just leave us alone now. Its boring to try and attack someone who doesnt react or care! Im sorry you feel like that though.

Sounds so petty and immature you apologized just ignore them she will end up looking like a 10 year old you will be the bigger person

I hear ya! My MIL is very hateful and does things to hurt you when she is mad. She just called DCFS on my BIL's gf because him and her were fighting... (Long story but we are no longer in contact and she is totally not allowed to see my kids anymore because she ended up kidnapping my neice over it!!)

I wanted to say that when we were pregnant with our second we did not find out the sex of the baby. She was telling everyone that we knew the sex and had told everybody what it was but were just excluding her. I finally confronted her and said "If that's what you want to think then maybe it's true..."

Meh, smurf em, don't let yourself get caught up in these petty little kid games, if she wants to waste her time by being pissed off, let her. You don't need to worry about this stress right now!!

im just gonna spend my time with MY family. Im only going.over there when invited just like I have been for the past month. And she thinks she will be in the delievery room like everyone else has let her in his family. I hate to tell her but there isn't gonna be anyone in there execpt me & Chris (my bf)
