Relationship 'box'

posted 31st Oct
So... When my daughter was born I got a pretty pink box and over her life I've filled it with important/special things from her life...

And I'm curious to know, is it pathetic to have a relationship box? I really wan to put special things/memorable things from my partner, like the tickets from our first date and silly things like that haha.

I have a photo album for things like that.
I already like looking back on the trips that we took & stuff.

I used to do that so I don't think its weird. I don't have one now but I have a 3 paned shadow box. I presses some flowers SO gave & put them in it along with a little note he wrote. SO isn't usually romantic but he suprises me once inawhile

That's a good idea! All the things he gives me I don't want to keep cooped up in a box, so a photo album would be better for just photos and tickets, receipts Etc

I have a journal that I'm going to give to my daughter on her 16th that I have kept since I was 16, so she knows what her mum was like as a teenager.
I also scrapbook everything from my relationship with SO.
I think its great, and will be wonderful to look back on when we are old and grey

Not at all. When DH and I were dating, he bought me this box thing and used a wood burner to design it. I have all kinds of weird stuff from our relationship. Like: the first time he brought me roses... I have one (very dead now lol), on our first date he bought me some heart and key ear rings that broke but I kept the heart and key, a krispy keener hat from our first date also.... And all kinds of pictures. I like having it to remind me of our good times together.

I have a box for the kids but not a relationship box, movie tickets and receipts from dates mean nothing to me

I've kept the map from Ethan and I's first date and his sister did draw something for me, I put her drawing on the fridge but Sai ripped it so I couldn't keep it.

A lot of people do keep things...it's quite sappy, but still cute.

My SO and I have one.. I think it's a great idea. I hope someday we will be able to share that stuff with our children. We mostly just keep cards we give each other, movie tickets and little notes that we have written.
