I took my car are in to get an oil change and there's 1000$ worth of smurf I need to fix.
Normally, I'd say its bull smurf and they're just trying to get money from me (good way of thinking huh?) butt I took it to my sisters 'boyfriends' shop.. actually its a good year that he manages and 2 mechanics said the same thing.. :/

I always tell them ... I want my oil change and that's IT ... I don't wanna hear all the terrible crap that's wrong with my car ... They know me now so they just write it up and hand it to me in an envelope ... I read it later ... It helps with my anxiety ... I'm sorry mama :-(

Or find out if there is anything you can do yourself. My old car we fixed A LOT of the problems on our own once we had it diagnosed. Some were easy and others, not so much.

I dont think he would.. BUT he did give me nearly 30% off everything and like 50% off the labor.

Well i guess they normally check everything or maybe cause he knows me, i didnt know he was going to. But I'm glad he did.. It's pretty severe issues that could ruin my entire car.
