Look at your pill pack. What day are you supposed to be starting your placebo week? That is the week you should be getting your period.
If you are not pregnant, PLEASE, take the advice of someone who had an unplanned pregnancy, be more responsible about your birth control!! Set an alarm on your cellphone. Something, just remember to take it! Having a baby before you're ready and being successful is possible but it is not probably and it is not easy.

I've talked to a doctor and she said that if you don't take birth control regularly, it doesn' t work. & that's what's freaking me out.

It's true. But although its possible, it's highly unlikely you would get pregnant on your first shot. Just do better at taking it now.
And just so you know, doubling up is not uncommon. I'm a 26-year-old married mom of two. I'm in fine shape to have another baby (I actually am pregnant now) but if my husband and I are really serious about trying to prevent pregnancy, I take the pill and he wears a condom. Just to be safe. Remember, if you're not doing what you should to prevent pregnancy, then you're doing exactly the same thing as couples who are trying to get pregnant. And that is NOT what you want!

This

Well said.

Two weeks is not too early to test, especially if you are having symptoms. birth control is only effective if taken properly. If you're not pregnant,I would suggest something you don't have to remember daily.

I have a suggestion for taking your BC if you're not pregnant. I kept a water bottle in my bathroom and put the pills either in my makeup case (do my makeup daily) or next to the face moisturizer/deodorant. Never forgot that way. I did it long ago with The Pill and I do it now with my allergy medicine. Get into a routine of taking it, it will be second nature before you know it.

i took 3 of the name brand digital tests and they came out negative one each week even after i had missed my period by a couple days. i took them all in the morning too and they came out negative, then i took a 88 cent test and it came out positive.

I was on birth control when I got pregnant....

But enforce I got pregnant, I missed pills and never got pregnant until I had a break through and the pill was no longer doing its job. So I had to double up and take 2 a day for a week.

The next week I got pregnant.
So don't stress. Just take a test and see for sure, stress is not good!
