re: Exclusive Pumping

I have really bad hyperlactation and my baby couldn't feed from the breast because he would choke on the supply. We switched to exclusive pumping and its made life a million times better for our family.

The downside of course is the time commitment, I pump every 3-4 hours, plus washing bottles/pump supplies, it can definitely be tiring. But I figure I would have to feed my baby every 2-3 hours anyway so its not much more work than that. Plus, my husband can feed the baby which he loves to do and makes my life easier.

Having a good pump is KEY! I have a Medela double electric pump so it doesn't take very long to get plenty of milk.

I hope I can keep this up until 6 months, it definitely helps that I'm staying at home with baby and not working.
