Velcro looses its stick over time, I use snaps. And when stuffed properly, there should be no leaks, even when sleeping. DS is 3 months, sleeps 12 hours a night and never wakes up wet now that I use extra inserts. I use fuzzibunz one size, but kawaii makes a heavy wetter super soaker diaper that is supposedly really good for overnight

I have 2 Kawaii's. They're my favorite overnight diapers because they're absorbant, but they're really bulky so I don't put them on my son during the day.

I've heard great things about Charlie Banana.
I have multiple brands. My personal favorites are Tots Bots, Bum Genius, and Thirsties. All of those are all-in-ones, which I prefer because you don't have to stuff them before use. But I do like pocket diapers...Fuzzibunz and Happy Heiney's are great if you don't care about having to pre-stuff!

I don't like AIOs because they take longer to dry. My pockets dry really fast. (we don't have a dryer, so we line dry everything)

I agree, I like pockets so much better than AIO. I finally have enough pockets that I don't have to use the AIO's I have.

would you recommend having some AIO for when i leave the baby with someone for the day though? Does that make it easier for the care taker?

I don't think so. When I do my laundry I just stuff everything at once, so they are all ready to go. I even put a wipe in each so I don't have to try and remember to bring them if we go out or anything. Then I shake the inserts out and throw them in my wet bag until the next laundry day.

no because I just stuff the pocket ahead of time. If it's a one-size diaper and you need it on a smaller setting, you should snap it down for them too. then all they have to do is snap on the diaper to the baby. super easy. =D
