Hospital Tour.

posted 30th Oct
So, I had my tour today of the maternity ward etc, and I was tearing up while talking to the nurse. It hit me so hard that I'm going to be there in a couple weeks having my baby boy..!

Please tell me I'm not the only one who cried like a baby during this lol!

What's the purpose of the hospital tour? Like, do they talk to you about labor and stuff or...?
Idk, I stayed in my room the whole time. I don't think a tour is needed for that lol

I go for mine next week. Considering how emotional I've been lately I wouldn't doubt that I will at least tear up during it lol I'm sure it makes it feel a lot more real.

At my tour they showed us the labor and delivery floor...then the floor you go to after delivery. The nurse did talk about labor and pain remedies etc.

Lol.
They showed me around L&D, and the entire ward. The Nicu, all the birthing rooms and tubs etc. Talked about labor and delivery. Pain medication options, emergency c sections, what procedures are. Registering, pre-registering, they talked to me about a lot of things I didn't know. I'm glad I got one. I know everything to expect and I'm not a fish out of water anymore.

The rooms were really nice and cozy, and big..! Very comfortable setting that's for sure   Wasn't disappointed one bit. And the beds actually look amazing. I'm actually excited to sleep on it haha.

You usually go at the very end of your pregnancy I was 36 weeks. Most of the time you also have to ask for one. Call your local hospital when you're about 36 weeks.
