Great post OP. I was adopted as a baby and thank my unknown birthmother for giving me a chance to have a wonderful life with a great family!

I did not adopt. My husband and I were very lucky not to have any fertility issues. I do know a couple who tried for a very long time and are FINALLY so close to getting the baby they have been waiting for   I am so excited for them and they both just can't believe that thier dream is coming true!

I didn't realise there was an adoption forum. I guess it is true that I shouldn't assume that all people who give babies up for adoption are teens; they could be adults too, that is a good point.
