Will this work together?

I was going to make this recipe and I have everything but the plain yogurt, I have vanilla which I know will give it more of a sweet taste but do you think it would work? Or could I substitute something else for the yogurt?

Got any sour cream? It's a little thicker than yogurt, but you could add some water to get it the right consistency.
