That's crazy ... I have duel citizenship and if I had to pay taxes to both Australia and England I'd be bankrupt

Good point.

I would be for reducing taxes on business owners who employ AMERICANS while punishing those that ship jobs overseas.

I think a tax incentive would be nice but not an increase on those that ship overseas. GM is bragging that 7 out of 10 of their vehicles are made overseas now. I don't want to punish them for finding a way around their harmful unions. And, they are paying taxes on the sales as well as paying American salaries associated with the foreign business.

I would like to see more American manufacturers. America needs to return to the manufacturing power that it once was. I think that punishing those shipping jobs overseas may encourage companies to seek employees inside the nation.

But I see what you are saying. It is just, how are we going to get people to stop giving jobs to China and India when America has a too high of an unemployment rate?

Yup. It's a complex problem. Take Apple for example. They manufacture in china, make an awesome product and creat lots of non-manufacturing jobs here in the US. And, they pay a boatload of taxes. There is no way those jobs would come to the US. If they did, only the very rich could afford their products.

Sigh. I didn't even think of that.

I would love to see more factories open up and have massive tax breaks for them.

The smarter states do that. The federal government should do something similar.

That's why Oklahoma and Texas are growing so fast and have a surplus. No state taxes for businesses that move to the state for five years and they give land and money to build.

Austin is the new Silicone Valley.

Mostly the lower Midwest. Oklahoma, Texas, Kansas, Arkansas. Funnily, they are some of the reddest states!

Here's Oklahoma's incentive plan:
