Don't get personal:
We are here to debate issues, not people. Attack someone's argument all you'd like, but don't attack them.

Avoid being a jerk:
Racial, sexual, or gender slurs are all unnecessary and inflammatory -- adding nothing of substance to a discussion, while undermining the debate at a fundamental level.

All users have a right to their opinion.
Not everyone believes what you believe, and that's okay. This ties in with rule #1, you don't have to like the opinion, but don't attack the person for having it.

Civility goes a long way:
Besides, if it turns into a brawl, it's going into TDC.

Everyone is welcome in D&D, but be prepared: people WILL argue your viewpoints in an attempt to invalidate them. This is not an attack on you or your beliefs, it is the nature of debate.

I try not to be a jerk, but damn. It is SO hard to not be with certain posters.

I'm with you there. I've been busy with my term project, so I don't have much time to debate. Apparently there has been more foul play than usual in D&D though, eh?
