my 3 month old sleeping pattern

posted 30th Oct
My preemie is now 3 mos old. He eats and sleeps almost all the time. He eats 4 oz every 2-3 hours around the clock, But my thing is from around 7-2 at night he's ASLEEP... It just dawned on me, "Is it me not waking up for him in between to feed him???" I have 2 older boys, (age 4 and 6) and I'm completely exhausted... Do preemie babies at 3 mos old start to have long stretches of sleep? IDK

I have never woke my son to feed. His doctor actually recommended not waking him to feed. My 3 month old son sleeps 8-9 hours at night(and has since he was 5 weeks old) so he eats more during the day. It evens out in the end.

Lol. Yea no need for that. You may start noticing him taking in more during feedings the longer he sleeps too. Its totally fine

How much did you give your son at 5 weeks? Im wondering if feeding my daughter more during the day if she'll sleep for longer stretches..cuz she does not sleep lol

I feed him when he's hungry so its kinda hard to keep track lol. But around 5 weeks he was taking 5 oz every few hours. I was shocked the first time my son slept thru the night lol. I put him down and figured I'd be up in a few hours with him. But I was wrong. I woke up 8 hours later and he was still sleeping.
