Herpes *TMI*

This is horrible... Anyways, I got Herpes from my SO of over 2 years. I don't know when he got it, but his first rash was awhile ago and before I knew what it was I caught it and now I have one. It hurts to sit, I can't walk at all without it hurting so bad I want to scream, and the burning when I go to the bathroom is horrid. I know it can't be cured, but is there anything I can do to relieve some of the pain? TIA

It can also go undetected for years, especially in men. Don't feel bad lots of people have it

Herpes is a virus, antibiotics do not do anything for a virus.

OP, look into suppression therapy such as valtrax or similar antivirals. Other than that, I have no clue.

All I got was an antibiotic to prevent secondary infection, never had to take a antiviral. Maybe it depends on how bad the outbreak is. After the initial I never had another

There is nothing you can do, Other then go to the docs. They will get you on the right medication to supress the outbreaks and to calm the outbreak when you do have one so its not so bad.. The first outbreak is the worst!!
