NICU and PICU NYC
posted 30th Oct
I have been following all night I can't imagine being in that situation. They are saying they are evacuating the NICU and PICU of both major hospital's in NYC." By 1:30 a.m., about half the patients had been evacuated, including all the patients in the adult, pediatric, and newborn intensive care units. Brotman said he anticipated the evacuation would last until around 6:30 a.m.".Theyvsaid at times they only had flashlights to show they way down the stairs. Four of the newborns were on respirators that were breathing for them, and when the power went out, each baby was carried down nine flights of stairs while a nurse manually squeezed a bag to deliver air to the baby's lungs.I hope if you pray you keep them in your prayers. Can you mama's imagine?

I honestly have not heard where they are taking them.I just keep thinking when your in there you are so focused on the next milestone or the next step towered home. How many of these parents must be terrified that a new scary risk factor is now in play with evacuation.
