C-section dates

posted 29th Oct
How early do the average moms get c-sections? I had a c-section with my first but it was because after 16hrs, my son didn't want to come out/ there was no progress. So this time around I wanna know about what week I will be going into a c-section. I have an OBGYN but she doesn't deliver the baby's she says its about 2weeks before the due date around the 38th week. The other doctor said its about 1 week before my due date she neither does deliveries, I don't get to see my Delivery doctor until the last month of the pregnancy so just courios to see around what day I may see my baby. Plus my husband works 2weeks on and 1 week off and we need to keep his supervisor informed of this stuff so he can arrange for someone to take his place the day we have our c-section.

Depends on the doctor and their schedule most have mine been 2 weeks earlier and I always choose 1st thing in the morning since you can't eat or drink anything after midnight.

My sister had her c-section done at 38 weeks because baby was "big" she was only 6lbs 10oz, how is that big lol.

My friend also had hers done at 38 weeks, but her baby was 8lbs.

I'm having mine done at 39 weeks.   my first was 39 weeks too, but I didn't plan that one.

Can't help ya. I would imagine around 39-40 weeks if you don't go into labor before then.
I'm opting for a VBAC, no more csections for me, no thanks.

Thank you didn't know about no eating after midnight, since the last one wasn't planned I didn't inform myself on C-sections.

When are you due? your OB should have told you all of this...that's if you have booked it.

Are you booked in to see the doctor at 36 weeks? maybe he'll tell you what you need to know then, I see the OB who will be doing mine again at 36 weeks, I think that's when they tell you everything.

That's okay, just ask your doctor if he doesn't bring it up.
